Kasey, Andy and Aiden visited Andy's parents in York, PA July 10 - 15. I drove up to visit with them while they were here. Here are some pictures from the weekend. Doggy and little doggy and Aiden

I get to visit with the most wonderful, kind, funny, 92 year old woman on the weekends. Her name is Janette Ross and she is Dave's grandmother. I love going to visit her, I look forward to it all week. She tells me stories about her husband Allan and about all of her siblings. She has great memories. She even has a picture of Bob Hope that is autographed "To Janette"! I took some pictures of her today and wanted to post them.

Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; And attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me.
I have learned how to crochet edges on blankets/burp clothes for babies. I am sure this can be done on adult blankets too but it would take me forever. Anyway, the item that is to be crocheted first needs a border of little holes where the crochet hook and thread will go . I think this is called hemstitching. Here is an example: I found a website that sells fabric that comes pre-hemstitched. http://www.ihemstitch.com/index.html
My first project is just a plain white felt blanket with green trim. Here are some pictures:
I went on a five mile run with my friend Carolyn through some trails in Fairfax. I had never been on these trails before and I had a lot of fun. We crossed through lots of woods and over a stream. We even managed to beat the rain!
Work has been boring. Not a lot to do as our program is coming to a close. Just a lot of job searching (internal) and wrapping up. Only 4 more months!

Time for some knitting then off to bed. Goodnight.
Peyton went to the groomers yesterday because she was looking a little scraggly. Now she is a cleaner version of her large, beautiful self. Let's hope she stays that way.
I am a fan of the Fox show So You Think You Can Dance. That being said, I strongly dislike the first few weeks of the show. Confused? The first few weeks are spent traveling around to different cities, auditioning dancers who would like to be on the show. Most of the early episodes in the season are filled with eager but less then qualified dancers who try their best to impress the judges without much success. For every 5 bad auditions you watch, they will show one promising young dancer. This is mainly why I don't like to watch in the beginning because of the negative comments made toward people who are just trying to live out a dream. Well, the other night the show finally did something that restored a little of my faith and demonstrated that they sometimes try to inspire people. Watch and you will see what I mean. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMuZdT9XaMg
Today was a really nice day outside. Right now it is about 80 degrees outside and it is sunny, sunny, sunny. Too bad it is a Thursday and not the weekend. Here is a picture from outside of my sun room sliding door.
